Swim Lessons

We quickly realized the importance of swim lessons here in Australia being surrounded by ocean and all of these backyard pools, including our own!  We got some referrals for Mr. Chris and have been thrilled with him.  He had the big girls swimming independently after just 4 classes.  He is very encouraging, yet firm and has a track record for being a great swim coach.  The girls love it!  He also allows us to take Hallie in the water during class which she absolutely loves as well!

They are currently on their 2nd term of swimming and since have joined a summer swim program as well as Alaina swimming with her class one day a week.  I’m glad they are starting to love swimming! I also like that this pool they swim at is about a 5k run for me to get to, so I get a nice run in before jumping in the pool with Hallie.

Father’s Day Weekend Fun

Yes, Brian got to celebrate 2 Father’s Days this year!  The girls made some great gifts for him at school and we had a lot of family fun over the weekend.

Oh wait, Kyla can’t handle it and decides to open it herself…

Then on Saturday, we met some friends at a great new park to play and have a barbecue.  This place was amazing and with mid 70’s and sunny weather, we had an awesome time!
I love these big swings (so do the girls)

Then there were these cool spinning and climbing things that the girls just loved…we are seeing so many cool park features that we’ve never seen before here!

And our friends’ son, Hunter-he just wanted to keep standing in the middle and not hold on-so cute!

Then on Sunday, after an amazing church service at Hillsong, we went to check out Fagan Park, which was also really cool.  It was set up with large fields on run in, nice walking paths and gardens representing different places (Japan, Spain, England, Australia, Africa, etc.). They also have a great eco garden and some homestead buildings to walk through-we will definitely be taking a trip here again!
