August was our month to get back into the swing of normal routine since being back in Australia. We had a lot of school activities on as well as general family fun together and with friends.

What a fun night this was! My friend, Jenny invited me to her 40th birthday party high tea and out for drinks and dancing in the city. We enjoyed some great finger food and champagne before hitting the clubs in Sydney!

Our friends, the Youngs came over for dinner and I gave my first sushi making lesson to Tracey. After dinner, we celebrated their eldest’s 8th birthday.

The lorikeets up at the school are unbelievable-SO many of them looking for the kids’ leftovers and they swarm the playground area. They will also fly in pairs and flocks right at your head! They’re quite tame though and you can touch them while they’re eating. Beautiful birds!

A couple months earlier, the girls got to go to their first friend sleepover at their friends, Sofia and Gemma’s house and this month they got to have them over for a sleepover. They had a ton of fun making their own pizzas for dinner and sundaes for dessert and dancing the night away to Just Dance on the Wii!
