The next night, we were happy to get to be a part of my old walk group’s Christmas party. We had a great dinner, conversations and a fun white elephant exchange.
The next morning, the girls enjoyed a wrestle before my friend, Sarah and Jude arrived for a visit.
That night, I met up with some friends for dinner…I forgot how much food you get served in the States…I had to take a picture of the FREE bread that kept coming and my ICE water that was brought as soon as I sat down!
The next day, we headed to Kalamazoo to visit friends on the west side. Our first stop was to visit our friend Amanda and her girls. The girls had a blast playing in the snow!
We were then to head over to the Rock’s house for a get together with friends, but before heading over, Brian’s little brother’s car that we were borrowing decided to die due to a gas leak. The tow truck was called and thankfully our friends lent us their van for the next 2 days so we could get back until the car was fixed. We had a great night with friends!
After staying the night, we said our goodbyes.

On our way back to my paren’ts we stopped to visit my grandpa in the hospital. He was recovering from pneumonia and had a few other issues going on. He would get discharged later this day, but little did we know that he would only have another 4 weeks on this earth. We had a nice visit with him.
We made it back to my parent’s house and enjoyed a fun night of cards with the Kunnens.
