Brian got me this voucher as a Christmas present for me and what an amazing gift it was! It was a bit stressful trying to plan a day to go between Brian’s work schedule, our kid’s schedules, the weather and trying to find people to help look after our kids…it all came together and we had amazing friends available to watch the girls (Alaina with a friend who was also in band and could get her to practice, Kyla with a friend who was also in choir and could get her to practice and Hallie with a preschool friend who could take her and pick her up from school). We had a beautiful day and an unbelievable time!
We had our first abseiling lesson on this smaller rock off the path. It was so well run and they worked with us to feel comfortable each step of the way.
Then we went to a bigger cliff face…and I was the lucky one to go first of our group of 6. The last climb I thought, if I fall, I won’t die…this one?!?!? Those first few steps were scary but once down, we couldn’t wait to do it again!
Off to another cliff face
After abseiling, we took the van to another location for lunch and to prepare for our canyoning experience.
This was one of the coolest things we’ve ever done! We had to walk through waters, over rocks, along fallen trees and jump or fall backwards into rock pools.
We made it to the waterfall and abseiled down it! Amazing!!
We had a couple jumps into the rock pool before getting out of our wet suits.
Breathtaking views of the Blue Mountains!
