Random February Bits

Bunnings is our local hardware store and it’s such a great store.  They always have a sausage sizzle run by different organizations, they have fun kid activities and play areas set up and these great little kid carts that the kids absolutely love!  I know I look ridiculous walking around with all of this following behind!

Hallie gets to go the library for Rock ‘n’ Tales and gets to listen to stories and sing and do crafts.

I know I posted these pictures on facebook, but I also must document it on my blog…sorry to freak you all out again!  This was the nice evening snack we sat down to in the evening when the biggest and fastest spider in the world crawled across our wall.  Thankfully it was just a Huntsman which is not poisonous, but we sure tore up our living room trying to kill the sucker anyway!

I bought this shirt so I could get a picture of all 3 girls in it at about the same age.  I thought it would be funny…so I had Alaina pose in a way to show that she truly is the best Smile

Valentine’s Day!  Brian got beautiful flowers for all of  his girls and I made a special Valentine’s lunch for the girls with heart shapes, candy and their favorite-sushi!

Visit with Scaddings-Day 3

So glad that this day was finally sunny!  Brian & John took the big girls to school while Sarah & I took Hallie to a friend’s house.  We then all went to Manly Beach for a fun day of beach and surfing!  The waves were huge this day (7 out of 10), but we had fun and worked hard (we were all quite sore the next day!)

After surf lessons, we went out to lunch…what a yummy mojito!

We met this lady (can’t remember her name now-help me out Sarah!) while surfing and since she was traveling alone, we invited her join us for lunch.

After picking the kids back up, we headed home.  Brian and I had a parent information meeting, so John & Sarah stayed back with our kids and their friends that they met in Japan, who now live in Australia (& who I now call a friend) came over for dinner.  We got to spend a little time with them in the evening.  This is a shot of Sarah, Sylvia & I before calling it a night.

We had a great visit with the Scaddings, but it went by way to quickly!  I was also happy for some fun, goofy silliness in the late night hours with one of my best friends!  The next morning they went on the way, driving north to Brisbane and then on to see other friends in Melbourne.

Visit with Scaddings-Day 2

More rain this day!  We started our morning off at our church-Hillsong.

We had packed lunches, so we ate on the way to the train station.  We took the train to Milsons Point and walked over the Harbour Bridge

I don’t think the girls can walk by the Opera House anymore without wanting to race up the steps!  Brian likes to volunteer all of our guests to be their competition!
