We decided to have a little party with some of Alaina’s friends since we don’t have family around to celebrate with us. I’m so glad we did…Alaina and all the girls had so much fun…even Brian said he wished he was a “7-year-old girl!” Who would have thought us winter birthdays would ever get to have an outdoor pool party?!
I picked all of the girls up from school and walked them back to our house. Counting Alaina & Kyla, there were 8 girls!
I hung Alaina’s artwork and decorated our deck for the art party
We started the party off with the girls all painting canvases, followed by afternoon tea (snack). They all really enjoyed it and made beautiful art!
I had one more painting project for them before pool time…but this one was a bit more messy! The girls got in their swimmers and had fun with the team foot painting project! You’ll see they got hosed off before jumping in the pool.
The girls were so excited to jump in the pool after this. They had a blast…I SO wanted to join them in their silliness!
Hallie was napping for a lot of the party, but I did feel bad when she came outside and could only watch from the gate…she got to join in on the rest of the party fun, though.
After the girls were done swimming, we did pass the parcel and played with all the outdoor toys while Brian went to pick up pizza.
The girls ate and then went inside to play and do one more craft
Last but not least, we sang Happy Birthday, gave 3 cheers, had some cupcakes and opened presents.
