US Visit-Days 8 & 9

News Years Day we were excited to get up and head an hour north to Zhender’s Splash Village in Frankenmuth.  Not only were we going with Brian’s mom and sister’s family, but we were also meeting 3 other families. We checked into our hotel and got suited up!  Well, some people needed extra help! Smile

After a great day playing at the water park, we cleaned up and went out to dinner at Zhender’s, a family tradition.

When we got back to the hotel, we put the kids to bed, then Brian and I headed up to a banquet room to play games and hang with our friends. The next morning, we got an early start back at the waterpark and enjoyed it being quite empty for a bit!

The thing behing Kyla and Alyssa was a freaky slide where you enter into the capsule, the door closes and you have to lay your head against the back with your arms crossed (& nose squeezed if you don’t water shot up there!) and wait for the clear floor to open beneath you as you drop about 20’!  It was scary but pretty fun!

This tube slide was definitely a favorite!

We enjoyed a pool-side pizza lunch and got cleaned up to head home.  The kids had earned a $5 card to use at the arcade, so we did that before we left.  Alaina hit the jackpot!!

A quick stop at Bronners, the World’s Largest Christmas Store, and a little snooze for Breck and I before heading to Birch Run for a little shopping followed by a nice Lebanese dinner on the way home.
