It had been a year and a half since we had last been back to visit family and friends in the US, so after finding some good ticket prices, we booked our flight leaving on Christmas Day. After opening pressies from Santa, we were in the car at 8am heading to the airport. We got to experience a 40 hour Christmas as we left Australia on Christmas and landed in LA, then Chicago and drove to Michigan and it was STILL Christmas!
The girls did great on the flights….they are old pros at this! We enjoyed the in flight movies and food and tried to get a little rest. Brian’s dad picked us up in Chicago (much cheaper flight option than landing in Detroit) and we piled in the car and drove to Grand Rapids!
We had a nice welcome as we arrived at the Suvedi household.
Excited to see their cousins! 
After a fun night of catching up and playing games, we called it a night…not only were we jet-lagged, but we stayed up pretty late and had an early morning wake up to spend the morning at their gym! We went to a 45 minute workout class, played some 3 on 3 basketball, played tennis and ended with some racing and fun in the pool. Whew!
After the gym, we headed home to clean up, eat lunch and take some family pictures.
Then it was time for presents!!
