We loved the Vivid Festival so much last year, that we wanted to go again this year! We also had passes to the Sydney Tower Eye, so we headed there first to get an amazing 360° view of the city. We watched a fun 3D video before taking the lift up to the top!
We walked all around soaking in the beautiful views of this city we call home. The beautiful Harbour to the left and straight ahead you can see the Harbour Bridge and slightly to the right, the Opera House sails.
Darling Harbour
Looking down at the Queen Victoira Building and Town Hall.
Hyde Park-ANZAC Memorial, Archibold Fountain and St. Mary’s Cathedral.
After the Tower, we walked the city and checked out the lights by foot…here in Martin Place, they had flying drones among other cool light shows and sounds.
In Circular Quay, the girls especially liked the piano stairs.
All of our favorite this was was Customs House-They used free-flowing images of Sydney’s flora and fauna and projected them onto the building The projections are fitted specifically to the architectural form of the building. It was like a little show that went on for awhile and was truly beautiful and amazing!! Here are the highlights!
More of Circular Quay and the Harbour
Taking the ferry to Darling Harbour and checking out the Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
Last but not least, we enjoyed our very own digital fireworks display via the beat of glowing drum sticks that projected lights onto the trees.
Heading back on the ferry to Circular Quay.
Back on the train….very late at night…I think this was around 11:30pm…the girls did great!
