We have spent a little time at some local parks as well as shopping village play areas, but I’ve had to research other fun things to do so we didn’t go completely crazy being stuck in our house without any of our normal toys, let alone furniture.

We do not have any furniture until our sea shipment arrives at the end of August. We are probably crazy, but we are sleeping on borrowed air mattresses/pack and play & blankets, and continuing to live out of suitcases. We did buy a loveseat on Gumtree (Australia’s version of Craigslist) and a table and chairs from IKEA to get us through. We’ll see how long we can survive without a TV!
cont. Holiday Fun:
At the shopping mall near our hotel, we went a few different days to play on McDonalds play area, watch ice skating at their indoor rink and watch the Peter Pan show (2 different times-and more if I would have agreed to it). Here are some pictures from the fun we had there:
We also spent a little time at some of Brian’s co-workers homes. The girls were really excited to play with another little girl one night (no pics) and then the next day we went for lunch, and while there were no little girls to play with, these teenage boys were great with the girls and they had a lot of fun.
And then today we had a lot of fun at a nearby shopping village where the girls got to do a cooking class (making cake pops), get their faces painted and make some sand art. Fun times!
Way to be creative! I'm sure you'll discover lots more fun things to do - and hopefully find a good friend along the way! Love the fancy face paint - did they get lipstick too?
