USA Visit-Day 5

After getting home late again the night before, we quickly cleaned and packed up for our next adventure.  We would be leaving my parents house and staying at a friend’s house nearby before heading west to Battle Creek and Kalamazoo.  Our first of 3 parties for the day was at our friends, Chad & Jenny’s house. My high school friends (and their spouses) are such an important part of our lives, so we planned a few get togethers with them during our time home.  This was our first one and we had such beautiful weather and great fun!

I also managed to do a mini photo shoot for my friends, the Scaddings to showcase their upcoming addition!

Then is was on to our next party-our friends, Ben & Jen’s daughter, Abigail’s 8th birthday party.  Unfortunately, the beautiful, sunny skies disappeared and it down poured for a couple hours.  The party moved inside where the girls had fun getting their faces and nails painted and getting tattoos.

We enjoyed some pizza as the weather started to improve and then headed off to our 3rd and final party of the day-our old neighbor and amazing baby-sitter, Madi’s graduation party.  It was so great to see so many old neighbors and see the neighborhood-we sure do miss it and the people in it!

We drove by Alaina’s old school along the way.

It was crazy to be right next door to our old house-the new owners have made some nice improvements-it was good to see!

The rain went away and we a great time at Madi’s party.  The girls loved running around with her and playing on the bounce house, too.

Our old neighbor, Bob, wanted the girls to see Louie, and Hallie gave him kisses.

It was really hard to say goodbye to Madi-just seeing how the girls adore her….wish we could bring her back to Australia with us!  We headed back to stay the night at Ben & Jen’s house.  Hallie and Alex had a mini jam session before bedtime.  The girls had fun as they prepared for their slumber party.

After a crazy night with the kids and some fun game time with Ben & Jen, we headed to bed and woke up the next morning to have breakfast before heading off the church.
