The girls and I started our morning off by meeting Alaina and Kyla’s old preschool friends at 242 for a play. It was great to see all of my friends as well as see how all the kids had grown in a year!
Then it was back home for us to have lunch. I got ready then and headed back to Brighton to do a newborn photo session for my good friends.
Then I was off to catch a game of softball with my old team!
I ended my night with a ladies night out at the Martini Bar with the preschool moms. Fun times!
The next morning, we got an early start to southern Illinois to visit my Grandpa, Aunts & Uncles. Our first stop, as is tradition, was Steak ‘N Shake.
We made it to the farm in the early evening and went on a Gator ride around the properties.
The corn was SO tall….way higher than “knee-high by the 4th of July!”
Then the girls had some fun exploring the garden and new goat pen
Dinner time! The girls roasted all of the hotdogs.
Then it was firefly catching time! The girls had so much fun chasing them all around…one even landed on Alaina’s hair bow!
We ended our night with watermelon and s’mores-yum!
