Call me crazy (I’m sure a lot of you do!), but I REALLY wanted to do an adults only trip to Cedar Point while we were back in the States and timing worked best for it to be on our 2nd full day home. So, Brian and I headed out early in the morning and met up with our good friends, Jon & Sylvia and Ben & Jen to make the trek to the Point!
Meanwhile, Nana & Papa decided to take all 5 grandkids to the Detroit Zoo for the day. So, here are the photos of their day of fun.
Ending their day with Dip ‘n Dots.
It was an absolutely perfect day for an amusement park-beautiful, sunny day, short lines and great company…unfortunately, I had a sinus infection (along with laryngitis) which must have messed with my equilibrium and threw me off all day. I had that giddy roller coaster excitement and felt great after the first ride, but ride number 2 hit me hard and I did not recover the rest of the day. I’m stubborn though and kept pushing on because I LOVE coasters and DO NOT give up easily. I was pretty messed up most of the day with nausea and fatigue and feeling like I would pass out, but I still enjoyed my company and the sunshine and will not give up on roller coasters. Here are some fun shots from our day.
Aside from my dramas, poor Jon lost his phone on the first ride. He even went back after the park closed to wait for the workers to sweep the area in hopes of finding it. No such luck!
We had 2 great sit down meals which ended up being my favorite parts of the day! Who would have thought I’d be bummed to ONLY have a 15 minute wait at some rides….it is NOT because I’m getting old-I refuse to believe that!
It was a LONG ride home with still feeling motion sickness and it being so late. I have never been so ready to lay in bed!
I've never heard anyone call you crazy! Incredible and Inspiring but not crazy. Also, the couples photos of you and Brian are so great. What an added perk of the day!
ReplyDeleteIt was a great day (despite the lost phone;)
