December was a busy month as usual. Aside from the normal business of Christmas, we also had visitors for 2 weeks and all of the end of school year happenings. Here’s a glimpse of some of the fun things from this month.
Cutie Kyla…lost her first tooth! (Followed shortly by her 2nd) She was SO excited!!
Special scripture service at school-the kids enjoyed the singing and the show on stage.
Alaina had her end of year recorder concert. She learned to play quite well on her recorder and I think it was a great stepping stone for her as she prepares to play the flute in Year 3!
Brian’s 1920’s themed Christmas party with his mates
This year, we decided to check out Luna Park to visit Santa. Last year we went to the QVB which was beautiful, but we wanted to try something new and this had Sydney written all over it-great views of the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House! We took the train to Milson’s Point and the girls wrote their letters to Santa along the way.
The setting!
I can’t believe how much fun these girls have with laundry baskets! And check out the hail we got this month? Huge ice chunks COVERED the ground. We definitely have some intense rain and hail storms here!
Setting up the Christmas tree….I love that my girls share my enthusiasm for Christmas decorating!
End of year assembly-Alaina & Kyla performing in the choir…they did so good and both loved it this year!
Celebration Day Awards
Kyla at her friends Fijian Bula party!
Lovely Christmas decorations at Macquarie Shopping Centre.
Hallie at her Playgroup end of year party…”ice skating” and letting it “snow” So funny all the things they have to pretend here during the Christmas season…it’s all fun though!
Outdoor water fun….can’t beat this in December!
The girls had a great school year!
And another Huntsman spider has shown themselves in our house. Definitely not as scary as the first time since we know it’s not poisonous, but still creepy!!
They definitely grow all of the insects MUCH bigger here…maybe that’s why they call them mini beasts! This moth type thing was almost as big as my hand!
