This was our last full day with our visitors. We split up this day, with the Kunnens heading back into the city and the Williams’ joining me and the girls on a road trip to the Blue Mountains. It was not the prettiest day in the mountains with some rain and lots of fog, but we had a great time exploring the walks and the different riding experiences of Scenic World.
We started off with the cableway down to the rainforest walks
We were greeted by a lyre bird at the start of our walk
We enjoyed our rainforest walk and the beautiful vegetation and ate our picnic lunch down here.
We took the cableway back up and hopped on the railway, the steepest (52°) incline railway in the world. It was steep! You really had to hang on with everything you had!
The cableway off in the distance
We took a short hike to see the waterfall and had a little fun along the way
Poor Hallie…if she wants to sleep when we’re out, this is how it has to be
We were so happy that the fog lifter for just a bit so we could get some nice views of the 3 sisters
2 sets of 3 sisters!
We took the railway back up and did our final ride, the skyway
I may have been happy that it wasn’t a clear day….not sure I would have liked the glass bottom as much!
After this, we drove back to Wahroonga and went out to a nice Italian restaurant for dinner. Then it was back to the house to finalize packing and play a couple more games of cards before Brian took them to the airport the next morning. It was way to quick of a trip, but we had a great time with them all!
