Visit with the Williams’ & Kunnens-Days 8 & 9

Monday was another recoup day from our extremely busy weekend in the city.  I wish I had taken a picture from this day as we had a friend of mine, her 2 daughters (Her oldest is in Alaina’s class & her youngest is in Kyla’s grade) and her mum over for morning tea.  We had a great time visiting with them and the girls enjoyed swimming in the pool and doing crafts.  Other than that, our day was spent playing cards and hanging out.

Tuesday we decided to go to the zoo.  We had to adjust a few of our days as we weren’t sure about the weather, but it all worked out great.  It was definitely a humid day at the zoo, but most of the animals were out enjoying the day and the amazing views of the city!

We knew it was about feeding time for this guy so we waited and were expecting a much smaller animal-this thing was huge!  I had never seen a tapir before!

Australian walkabout…we enjoyed the kangaroos and wallabies, but were really excited to see a very active koala…considering how much they sleep, it was a real treat to see one climbing and jumping up a tree!
