April was a busy month as Nana was visiting and term 1 of school was finishing up. Kyla finished up her first term of gymnastics so successfully that she got asked (along with her friend Bella) to join the Junior Gems program which is the initial competition level. She really enjoys gymnastics so we have started this program this term.
The girls decided to open up a little salon during school holidays. It started out with just massages, but soon the business was going so well that they added nails and hair as well. They had a great set up complete with reception, waiting area and massage bed. It was actually quite enjoyable and each thing only cost 5¢
Even Daddy got the full treatment when he got home from work!
Nana brought along with her a few more things for the girls fairy garden! They had fun setting up a new home for it all!
We were happy to get to celebrate my mom’s birthday with her this year! We all went out to dinner and came home for dessert. Instead of cake, she requested pavlova! Yum!!
The following night, she got to cash in on her gift….a night in the city-train ride, dinner and the Australian ballet at the Sydney Opera House.
Our first stop was to Customs House to see the miniature replica of Sydney showcased under the glass of the ground floor.
Next was dinner, yum!
Then off to the show! It was a great night!
Random photo of Hallie having fun at preschool. She’s absolutely loving it!
Church!
Kyla, our little baker and Hallie at pajama day at dance.
Alaina participating in her school’s cross country carnival. They had to run 2km after walking 2km to get to the park and walking the course and then another 2km walk back to school…8km for my 8 year old!
We spent an afternoon visiting Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park near our house.
Alaina performing with the choir at an assembly.
Glad we still get to enjoy the beautiful color changing of the leaves in autumn.
On April 25, we went to an ANZAC Day ceremony near our house as they commemorated 100 years.
Brian and I sporting an early Christmas present from my parents…MKR (My Kitchen Rules) aprons! We love this show here in Australia, so these are great!!
