We decided to spend our Sunday in the city. We got an early start, took the train into the city and headed for the beautiful Queen Victoria Building.
The Swarovksi crystal Christmas tree spans three floors of the QVB and is awesome! As soon as we got there we put our name on the list to see Santa (a 5-6 hour wait!!) Thankfully you don’t have to wait in line…just put your info down and they text you 15 min. before your time slot. A little crazy, but ended up working out great.
Hallie wasn’t so sure about sitting on this table

After we checked out the QVB, we headed up the street to check out the David Jones window displays. They were so well done and the girls loved watching the puppets moving around.
We then made our way to Hyde Park to walk around St. James Church and see the Nativity.
After lunch we made the long trek by foot to Hillsong’s city campus on Danks Street for the Christmas Carols Spectacular.
Our friends’ children were in the program too (Grace-2nd girl in on the right)
And Lance (boy in front looking at Santa)
It was a great production, filled with giveaway, great musical talent, confetti snow, and praising God!
The kids were thrilled that this was outside for more fun after the show.
We then made our way back to the QVB to see Santa!
Riding on the trolley bus
This was where Santa was “housed”
Hallie starting to freak out!
At this point, we got the family picture as they could tell that Hallie was not going to last!
We tried for one of the 3 girls….this was the best we got. Hallie had a death grip on Brian and was screaming for her life! Poor thing.
After seeing Santa, we finished up our day at the activity station where the girls had fun doing Christmas coloring
