I started my morning out with a nice run from our hotel into Old Town and everything was going great until I got lost on the way back. I failed to make not of the street name I turned from as well as some landmark and did all of the challenging navigating to get in and through Old Town, but on my return, I couldn’t remember how much further my turn was. So, to be on the safe side, I asked someone who sent me up a little ways further, then decided to ask another (after struggling to find someone who even spoke English) and he checked his map on his phone and gave me specific instructions to get back (which were NOT correct!) I was confused as I thought I was really close and he was sending me off a different way, but since he had it on his phone, I went with it and soon was very lost. So I ran around trying to find someone who spoke English and finalyl ended up in a business where they showed me on their computer. Turns out I was only like a street away before that guy sent me the wrong direction. Thankfully I made it back and did enjoy the first part of my run very much. I ran through the morning market crowd and took a couple photos along the way.
I was very happy to be back and enjoying breakfast! We had the best breakfasts on this trip! The fruit was so ripe and juicy and everything was amazing!! Here’s an example!
We were excited to try out the hotel’s bikes, but didn’t go to far…this is how we roll!
Then it was off to the beach!
A quick dip in the pool before our taxi came to take us to the train station in DaNang
We got on the train in DaNag to take us around the Hai Van Pass-gorgeous coastal scenery along the way to Hue.
We arrived in Hue and the hotel had sent someone to pick us up. We checked into our new hotel and headed out for dinner followed by a cyclo ride along the river to checkout some sites.
There was definitely a miscommunication on the price and these guys weren’t having it! Feisty!!
