Cambodia-Vietnam Vacation: Day 7-Hue to DaNang

Woke up and went for an early morning run before packing up to head back south to DaNang.  I ran by some unique sites as well as through the market…so many different things , I had to stop for a few photos!

We were really bummed that it was such a foggy morning as we had hired a driver to drive us over the Hai Van Pass for some amazing coastal views from the top of the mountain. Instead we went the faster and less exciting way through the tunnel.  We did stop at Lang Co Beach (which wasn’t great because of the weather) and drove through a fishing village.  Thankfully the sky was clear back in DaNang for the rest of our day.

We got to our hotel to check in and the Suvedis were there on scooters!

While Brian and I debated weather or not we should rent scooters too, we made plans to go to a nice French restaurant for lunch.  Kyla got to go for a ride with Aunt Beth there while we grabbed a taxi.

We all got to have turns trying out the scooter and decided we should hire one too!

We loaded up with some fruit and then we all headed to Marble Mountains.

Arriving at Marble Mountains-A cluster of five hills (named after the elements metal, wood, water, fire and earth), made from limestone and marble. It’s a well-known pilgrimage site with peaks, caves, tunnels and temples all just waiting to be discovered. All of the mountains have cave entrances and numerous tunnels.

In pictures, this does not look nearly as chalenging to climb as it was…the kids climbed up sans Hallie and we had to go after them!

We had some time to kill before the dragon bridge would breathe fire and happened upon this area full of motorized little cars.  It was $1 for them to ride as long as they wanted.  They had a blast!
