On Monday, Sept. 16, we got to spend the day with Brian’s Aunt Peggy & Uncle Cliff. They had been on a long vacation, traveling to the States, (we moved before getting to see them) South Korea and Europe before heading back to Australia. (they live in South Australia, in Port Lincoln) We were so happy that they stopped in Sydney before heading home so they we could see them too! We headed back to the National Park near our house for a picnic lunch and short hike before heading back to our house to pick up Alaina from school and enjoy dinner together.
Watching a bush turkey (which are all over around here) building his nest
Great Uncle Cliff found Hallie a Banksia seed pod
And then gave her a nice hair combing!
Plants growing out of a tree-cool!
Then, on Tuesday, our friends Kirk & Lillian (this was our surprise visitor who then brought his wife out the following week) came over for dinner and drinks. It was so great to see them and catch up!
A couple days later, Uncle Cliff & Aunt Peggy came back over and we did a big dinner with them and the Perry family. We had such a great time seeing them and can’t wait to visit them at some point while we are here.
My masterpiece dessert for the night…decided to try my hand at a traditional Australian dessert and made Pavlova from scratch! I thought it was amazing and I can guarantee that if you come to visit us, you will get to try it too!
