Vacation to Port Douglas and Cairns-Day 4

I started out this morning with a nice 4 mile run into town and back with a few stops along the way where I managed to snap some photos.  Gotta love this kind of atmosphere while running!

This was also our day to watch all of the kiddos while Kyle & Tracie had the day to go snorkel and scuba dive the Outer Banks of the Great Barrier Reef.  We had such a fun time with them playing at 4-Mile-Beach!  Here they are playing in the sand, jumping the waves, playing in rock pools, having fun with the challenges Brian kept giving them, and enjoying the day!

After nap time, we headed over to a local park to play and watch Kyle & Tracie’s boat come in…can you see them??

THEN, since we had put in our time during the day with the kiddos, it was date night for Brian and I!  We had a great time exploring the town, checking out the beautiful & historic chapel, watching what there was of a sunset, checking out the lookout and enjoying a yummy dinner by the ocean.

And while we were out, this is what the kids were up to…photos courtesy of the Perrys.

And after we got back, the adults played some cards and enjoyed some drinks and snacks (as we did every night while there-FUN!), this interesting fellow decided to join us.  A little freaky and we thought is was a big rat, but it didn’t quite seem like a rat’s nose…later discovered that is was in fact a Bandicoot.  Notice the cheesballs that Kyle was sharing with him.
